AUCD for All Gala - Celebration Leadership in Arts & Culture

Join the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) on April 22, 2020, for our annual AUCD for All Gala to celebrate leadership in arts and culture and the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The AUCD for All celebration brings together leaders from all sectors who are tireless advocates for people with disabilities and their families. On this night we honor those who stand up for inclusive arts and culture and lead the way for all.

AUCD Applauds Congress' Passage of Autism CARES Act

AUCD applauds Congress' passage of the Autism Cares Act of 2019, a bipartisan bill to expand research and coordination, increase public awareness and surveillance, and expand interdisciplinary health professional training to identify and support individuals with autism and their families. Passage of the bill, which occurred by voice vote, has been championed by Senators Enzi (R-WY) and Menendez (R-NJ) and Representatives Smith (R-NJ) and Doyle (D-PA), which reauthorizes CARES programs at NIH, CDC, HRSA, and IACC over the next five years.

AUCD's Andy Imparato Visits the Pacific

For the past ten days, AUCD Executive Director Andy Imparato has been visiting disability organizations and meetings in the South Pacific, hosted by Tafaimamao Lefu Tua Tupuola and Kiriko Takahashi of the American Samoa UCEDD (Ucedd Ascc). He has met with people with disabilities, families, and numerous staff working on disability issues throughout the South Pacific.
